“All material in nature, the mountains and the streams and the air and we, are made of Light which has been spent, and this crumpled mass called material casts a shadow, and the shadow belongs to Light.”
Louis Kahn

The project started as a study of the architecture of greenhouses. The structures were photographed as a way to investigate the quality of spaces.

The intention was to capture the feeling of a place or the energy that seemed tangible. The atmosphere in the photographs were abstracted into patterns, textures and shapes and captured in sketches.

These sketches were then interpreted as a collection of “cubes” that will hold the memory of the place.
